Xochimilco ("Place Where Flowers Grow") is a wonderful Sunset Park taqueria with Mexico City pretensions, but principally excelling in the cuisine of Puebla and adjacent southern states. The freshly made masa products-huaraches, sopes, gorditas, etc.--are particularly fine, whether topped with chorizo, tongue, or cecina, the salted beef beloved of Pueblans. Nothing better for a big feed than the razor-thin steak served with grilled cactus paddles.
