Zorzi presents itself as a restaurant specializing in the regional cuisine of Venice. As such, the menu is loaded with seafood (though seafood has nearly disappeared in the city's polluted lagoon), including sautéed scallops served on a bed of Treviso chicory, fish soup zapped with white wine, and fried shrimp, squid, and cuttlefish presented on a bed of polenta. Venetian specialties are not specifically marked, so you have to seek them out in the various sections of the menu. Thus you must find bigoli among "Italian Classics" --extra-thick spaghetti served with a creamy anchovy sauce. It's utterly delicious and a signature of the city. The space is quirky and colorful, but a bit cold, and the wine list favors wines of northern Italy, including several decent bottles in the high $30s.
