Ars Nova Theater

511 W. 54th St. New York, NY 10019 | West 50s | 212-489-9800

Location Description:

Luxury high-rises are popping up all around the formerly gritty Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, but don't let that fool you. Ars Nova Theater is still consistently young, experimental, and bawdy to-boot. Created in 2002, the small but sleekly renovated theater boasts its status as a "hub for new talent," hosting a bevy of young playwrights and comedians in their artists-in-residence program. Seating varies from tradition non-elevated rows to bar tables with stools. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres are available in designated areas, Although the close proximity to Restaurant Row means there's no lack of food and alcohol nearby. Most subway lines are accessible from Times Square.
