Baby's All Right

146 Broadway Brooklyn, NY 11211 | Williamsburg |

Location Description:

On a street about to turn into the Williamsburg Bridge, a large neon sign flashes “ALL RIGHT.” Baby’s All Right takes its name from an Aldous Huxley quote: “In spite of death, in spite of horror, the universe is all right, capital A capital R.” Of course it is, if it includes a gorgeous lounge washed in sepia with a mishmash of aesthetics: antiquarian cartography, all-American diner, and wildlife expedition, with sections of cozy wallpaper and a dance floor topped with the maze from The Shining. This somehow manages to work, due in part to the huge, 5,000-square-foot space. You can trust owners Zachary Mexico and Billy Jones, formerly of Pianos, to present a new live show (one that's worth your time!) every night. The food menu tweaks the sophisticated (duck nuggets, beluga lentils), and the drinks range from Bud Light to yuzu margaritas. All right, then.
