Brooklyn Brewery

79 N. 11th St. Brooklyn, NY 11211 | Brooklyn | 718-486-7422

Location Description:

A cake-in-the-oven smell greets you as you enter the brewery (wheat being malted); a little souvenir shack sells beer soap, koozies, and drink tokens for the bar. Sparsely decorated but not at all sparsely sunlit, the tap room — which the staff uses as office space on weekdays — is robust with conversations in different languages and regional accents, but not absent of locals. When it’s not too crowded, ask Gabe “Soft Serve” Barry for a brief history of North Williamsburg, but when it is — and it often is — be open to making new friends and aware that you can have pizza delivered to your table, though you probably won’t need it; the beer is very satisfying.
