Inspired by the gourmet cooking of Chicago's Rick Bayless, the menu at Cascabel Taqueria presents authentic regional fare of Mexico at the taqueria level of endeavor. The tacos themselves--two to an order--are scrumptious, simply dressed with cilantro and onions and mainly featuring long-braised meats (homemade chorizo, however, is our favorite). The spice-rubbed rotisserie chicken and cudgel-size beef rib are other superlatives, and you can't go wrong with almost anything on the micro-brew-oriented beer list. The place is mad cramped, so try to go early or late, and you may be delighted or repulsed by the Mexican wrestler motif.
