Columbia University

116th & Broadway New York, NY 10027 | Harlem | 212-854-1754

Location Description:

Although the school itself was established in 1754, this campus was not planned and constructed until 1897. Designed by McKim, Mead, and White, who designed an incredible mass of buildings in turn-of-the-century New York, the Columbia Campus is an impressive "academic village." Although most of the buildings are closed to visitors, it is certainly still worth a jaunt up to Morningside Heights.
