El Nuevo Bohio ("The New Shack") is a picture-perfect palace of pig, a real Puerto Rican lechonera. The front window says it all, featuring a tumble of bronzed pork shoulders. The pig wrangler cuts up your portion--whether it be a half-pound ($3.50), a pound, or a platter that also features fried or boiled plantains and a perfunctory salad-with complete unanimity, carefully giving you some fat, some lean, and a good crunchy swatch of skin or two. At your request, he also ladles on a garlic sauce that will sting your lips without benefit of chiles. The double dining room is comfortable, and the full Puerto Rican menu is available therein.
