Next door to Italian-American stalwart Marco Polo, Enoteca on Court is a modern Italian restaurant masquerading as a wine bar. Sure, there are great Italian wines at comparatively low mark-ups (around 2.5 times retail), but the quality and the range of the food is the real lure here. From the wood oven come pizzas, roasted vegetables, the Sicilian kebabs called spiedini, and pastas in crocks, while an expansive list of antipasti includes plenty of Italian-American stuff in addition to modern Italian cooking, plus a nice selection of salumi and formaggi. The seafood salad is particularly dope, as is the margherita pizza, and the meatball parmigiano panino--how's that for straddling the Atlantic Ocean?
