The Gerald Shoenfeld Theater, originally the Plymouth Theater, was built by the Shuberts in 1917, and is operated by the Shubert Organization still. It is a Theater District mainstay, featuring two levels of seating, boxes, and select wheelchair viewing. Located on 45th Street just off of Broadway, it is steps from Times Square and Restaurant Row. Herbert Krapp’s detail-oriented Adamesque architecture and chandeliers preserve an element of grandeur from theater's golden age, an ideal spot to take in the latest big-budget production or celeb-headed revival. Port Authority Bus Terminal and several major subway lines are accessible nearby.
