Located in a former barbershop on the Chinatown frontier, Good World flaunts antique wood floors, tin ceilings, and a pleasant nighttimes gloominess. Who cares if the service is spotty? Most of the food--Swedish, believe it or not!--is right on the money, including a cheap and massive preserved-herring platter, a memorable multi-fish soup, and a juicy burger uniquely accompanied by pickled beets and capers. There are also lots of bar snacks, foremost of which is a lemongrass-smoked duck breast that looks like bacon. Wash everything down with a Finnish porter and admire the quirkiness of it all. The kitchen is open until midnight, the bar until 4am.
