Far off the beaten Museum Mile, it's easy to forget that Corona's Hall of Science is one of the greats. It features 450 exhibits and is geared toward participatory activities that explain science, technology, and math to kids and the large portion of the adult population that doesn't understand those things yet either. Built in1964 as part of the ever-eerily futuristic World's Fair, it was one of the first ever purely science museums in existence. A short trek for Queens residents, a longer trek for others, it sits on the edge of Flushing Meadows Corona Park near the 7 train.
New York Hall of Science presents 450 exhibits, demonstrations, workshops and participatory activities that explain science, technology, engineering, and math.
