In its original location two blocks north, Out of the Kitchen was mainly a cookie and cupcake bakery, with a few sandwiches and hot carryout meals. Now a liquor license and revamped menu makes this a decent choice for any meal, with a nice sidewalk seating area and elementary school-type lunchroom as indoor seating. The revamped menu includes lots of burgers, pressed and unpressed sandwiches, composed salads, quesadillas, and other appealing and unfussy comfort food. The real glory of the kitchen, however, is brunch, and the challah bread French toast is one of the better choices.
