St. Paul's Chapel

209 Broadway New York, NY 10007 | Financial District | 212-233-4164

Location Description:

Once known for being the oldest church and public building in Manhattan, St. Paulas has now achieved international fame as the place where emergency workers ate and slept during the days immediately following the World Trade Center attacks. George Washington was a regular worshipper here, and his pew served as a foot massage station for 9/11 workers. The inside of the tiny church is a tribute to those horrible days in September. Hours: Mon-Sat 10am-5:45pm
