The Well

272 Meserole Ave. New York, NY 11222 | Greenpoint | 347-599-1759

Location Description:

Recently opened Bushwick/East Williamsburg space The Well is yet another entry into the grips of beer gardens suddenly popping up across the city. On their website, The Well boasts something like 300 different brews but has yet to deliver on that promise last we checked—they usually only tap five or six kegs. But regardless, they've thrown some exciting shows in the massive outdoor performance space. Their inaugural show? Cam'ron. A couple months later, that was followed with a fittingly raucous party with Ty Segall and Thee Oh Sees. This rap-to-garage rock diversity of their music program is the strongest thing the Well has going for it, mainly due to their booker Chris White, who used to help run the CMJ festivities. Although it holds a lot of potential, the joint still needs a little work. The sound quality isn't the best, and security has a reputation of being overzealous. --Dale Eisinger
