This Little Piggy Had Roast Beef - Closed

149 First Ave. New York, NY 10003 | East Village | 212-253-1500

Location Description:

Only three sandwiches are available on the comically small menu: a Brooklyn-style Italian roast beef, gobbed with fresh mozzarella and brown gravy; a Philly-style roast beef hero laked with Cheez Whiz; and--odd man out--a modest pastrami sandwich piled with cole slaw on unseeded rye that also manages to be fantastic. Three sides are available, and they're nothing much compared to the fantastic sandwiches: mushy and underdone steak fries, mayo potato salad in which the mayo eclipses the spuds, and a macaroni salad--when was the last time you ate one of those?
