It started as a simple taco stand inside a tortilla factory. Now it's a proper restaurant, complete with seating at tables or at the diner-style counter. It's still inside the tortilleria, though, and as a result, the tortillas used in the tacos couldn't be fresher. The spot is frequented by factory workers, Mexican immigrants, and neighborhood artists and hipsters. They all gather under the flower-bedecked image of the Virgin of Guadalupe and enjoy some of the best antojitos in Brooklyn. The chorizo tacos are particularly good, dotted with bits of creamy potato, and the spicy pork carnitas comes a close second. In addition, you can get tostadas and tortas--well-stuffed Mexican heroes on telera rolls with an identical roster of stuffings. But the tacos are the things to get.
