Location Description:

One of the great joys of city living, the Union Square farmers market is the largest of 47 green markets in the five boroughs. Itas in effect Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, year-round. Some of the treasures are: unimaginable (if pricey) salad greens from Windfall Farms, tomatoes and herbs from Stokes, dairy in old-fashioned glass milk bottles and sheepas milk yogurt from Ronnybrook Farm, and the best apples from Red Jacket Farms.
