Arcade Fire Soundtrack Spike Jonze's Where The Wild Things Are Trailer
Away We Go, the other David Eggers-penned film inching towards theaters, looks almost unspeakably abysmal. But the long-rumored/-delayed/somewhat-already-legendary Where the Wild Things Are, for which Eggers wrote the script with director Spike Jonze, now finally has its trailer, too, and the movie looks not at all disappointing. The Arcade Fire's "Wake Up," in both acoustic and studio iterations, provides the music here--capping an ominous overload of bold-faced nerd-passion names made tolerable by the really great, really live action visuals here. (We recommend the comically human Wild Thing howling that kicks in at 1:40 or so.) Arcade Fire, should any doubt persist, still remain the best band in the universe for making a movie that's basically a glorified pajama party look like The Last Temptation of Christ.
