Cut Copy Is Headlining A Jelly Pool Party (UPDATE: Here's Another Possible Full Schedule Floating Around)
Just as the sports world has spent today obsessively tracking Lebron James' every move, the Brooklyn rock contingent is anticipating the imminent arrival of the Jelly Pool Parties lineup for 2010, so much so that there's already been one convincing (but not very amusing) fake. Well, per the band's PR, here would seem to be your first official show:
Cut Copy, Memory Tapes, Glasser, and Restless People. August 8th. (That'd be the Gang Gang Dance/Man Man slot from the fake version, a real disappointment for fans of avant-garde clatter/needless word repetition.) "ALMOST DONE!!!" sez the official JPP site, re: the rest of the schedule. Patience. We know you're on edge. Everyone is. Especially Jay-Z.
UPDATE: And now this full-schedule flier is circulating:
Markedly more official-looking, indeed, though let it be known that the official Pool Parties site is still inactive and Stereogum posted this flier first and then took it down. Huh. Also, are we really starting a big-shot summer fete with a Joy Division tribute? TUNE IN TOMORROW FOR MORE INTERNET INTRIGUE.
