MisterWives Catchy, clap-y soul-pop trio MisterWives released their EP Reflections this winter to hype from many a media outlet, and have followed up with performances around the country. They released the EP Reflections Remixes on June 17th, including one from prolific producer Milkman. They'll be joining Bleachers (of Jack Antonoff fame) on tour this summer with a full-length album to follow this fall.

Americana songwriter and fixture in New York's folk scene, Peter Arvo has made the rounds in the city's renowned Gaslight Café, the Jalopy Theatre, and Pianos as well as having run his own Sugar Mountain Showcase in the East Village. He'll be releasing his first album on July 15th, produced by Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oats, the Indigo Girls). It's "as if Johnny Cash had hips," he says of the sound. It moves.

Hand Job Academy Brooklyn's trio of lady rappers, Ash Wednesday, Clara Bizna$$ and Uncle Meg, a.k.a. Hand Job Academy, are back in full force after their East Coast tour with an album due out August 26th. The trio that brought you your favorite period anthem, "Shark Week," promise more hip-hop hilarity and bubblegum (dirty bubblegum) vids. Speaking of which, check out the Kickstarter for their forthcoming "Lena Dunham" video.
