Hot 97 Announces The Seemingly Young Money-Sponsored Summer Jam '11 Lineup
Hot 97 has announced the lineup for Summer Jam '11, and it's (perhaps unsurprisingly) filled with Young Money acts: superstars Lil Wayne and Drake act as the de facto headliners, while a non-specific set by Young Money, the label, is on tap. Could that possibly mean an eventual cameo by Nicki Minaj--perhaps one where she assists Drizzy on "Up All Night"?
Also on this year's bill are Cash Money boss Birdman and self-nominated boss Rick Ross, as well as the forever misspelled Fabolous, lanky weed aficionado Wiz Khalifa, and Waka Flocka Flame (provided he's not arrested between now and then).
Tickets are already on sale, and prices (with surcharges) range from $59.65 to $194.65; there's also a "platinum package" which grants you access to "THE ONLY FULL CASH BAR -- the only place alcohol is sold in the New Meadowlands Stadium." Because spending money to spend money is apparently a perk for Very Important Types!
Here's Lil Wayne doing "6 Foot 7 Foot" at last weekend's Bamboozle Festival:
