Lady Gaga Brings The Real Talk About Money And Sex To Howard Stern
In a sort of perfect storm of search-engine optimizing and amazing interviewer/interviewee rapport, Lady Gaga was interviewed by Howard Stern for an hour and a half this morning, and the combination of Gaga taking extreme liberties with Sirius' policy on swearing, her candor about her cocaine habit and her money problems, her light moralizing about virginity loss and the aforementioned drug, her playing demos that she'd recorded on her Blackberry, and the genuine camaraderie between Stern and Gaga (and Robin Quivers, too) makes itor at least a chunk of it, as 90 minutes is a long time to tune out of everything else!pretty essential listening for even those people who are Gaga skeptics. It's embedded after the jump (for now).
If you don't have time to listen, the breathtakingly comprehensive rundown of the show is also online. Here's a bit about Gaga's vagina! Well, it's a metaphor, but I couldn't resist slipping in that search term.
Asked about her creative process, Gaga regretted the drug-fueled songwriting she'd attempted early in her career: "I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drug that made me feel like I had a friend...and I regret every line that I ever did." Now, instead of coke, she listens to her crotch: "Whatever my vagina whispers to me, I say yes...inspiration, it doesn't come all the time."
