Sly devil: Murray Hill courts the ladies.
photo: Cary Conover

It's not Christmas until Murray Hill puts on the red Santa Claus outfit and molests the aging club children. The annual A MURRAY HILL CHRISTMAS SHOW is back, with only seven chances to catch the extravaganza, featuring all of our faves, including burlesque babes the World Famous *BOB* and Dirty Martini, trapeze artists the Wau Wau Sisters, and the Stiff Gimlets jazz trio. The Dazzle Dancers—a naked dancing troupe—will add spice and everything nice to two performances thereafter. It's really squeaky-clean all-American fun, except for the part where the girls take their clothes off and Murray makes dirty jokes. Perfect for the family.

Another great party for Grandma is the two Captain Comatose gigs. For those who haven't heard of CC, it's the latest brainchild of one dirty birdy, Khan, and his Berlin-by-way-of-NYC partner, Snax. Along with naughty bits of techno that will surely be on display, catch a glimpse of Khan's naughty bits—he is wont to lose his trousers along with his sobriety somewhere in the gig. See the duo DJ at Lizzy Yoder's (of Fischerspooner) cute party. (If you can't get enough CC, next week even has live action.)

Monday @ 9, Lit, 93 Second Ave, 212.777.7987

Even though I've made fun of the name, the new Brooklyn gay spot Toybox (formerly known as Luxx) looks like it's gonna have a lovely lineup of house, techno, '80s, and electro parties. Of particular note is the end-of-the-week jam PLAYGROUND, featuring the glamorous and extremely talented Honey Dijon, who finds a way to strike a balance between groovy, jackin' Chicago and the crisp tones of Detroit. With DJ Will.

Sunday @ 10, Toybox, 256 Grand St, Bklyn, 718.599.1000
