On St. Vincent's Somewhat Disquieting "Marrow" Video
"So much face," is the way Stereogum puts it, and indeed loving, dolorous close-ups of Ms. Annie Clark are the coin of the realm here as she walks down a dusty road and enraptures all who lay eyes upon her, whether they're construction workers, cops, or scuffling teens. The chorus horns are still hella jarring, and now have a jarring fake-buffering visual effect to accompany them. Unclear as to the metaphor here, but generally what you can derive is that if Annie wants to walk around calmly moaning "H-E-L-P/Help me/Help me," lotsa people will be more than happy to oblige.
