Brooklyn’s Parquet Courts have just announced a last-minute show tonight at Baby’s All Right with Soda and B Boys opening.

Baby’s is no stranger to announcing day-of gigs for high-caliber indie artists; just last December, Blood Orange popped by during the week of his two sold-out Apollo Theater performances, and the venue has played host to serious underplays for acts like Beach House in the past year.

Prepping for their upcoming cross-country tour in February, Parquet Courts played alongside Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo during Ground Control Booking’s fifteenth anniversary spectacular in early December, and they're hot off the release of their jarring EP Monastic Living, which hit stores on November 27. It was an appropriate Black Friday release: The album was a subversive attack on consumer culture, all blaring, difficult-to-enjoy noise.

When they’re not making a statement with their music, Parquet Courts are masters in crafting tight punk. They're rumored to be releasing a fourth LP later this year. Since Brooklyn is their home and the band doesn’t shy from intense on-stage experimentation (anyone in the audience for their December Ranaldo fuzz-bomb collaboration can attest to that), fans can expect nothing but surprise from tonight’s show.

Parquet Courts hit Baby’s All Right January 27 at 10:30 p.m. There will be 100 tickets made available at the door starting at 9 p.m. For more information, click here.
