Photos: Dan Deacon and These Are Powers at Brooklyn Vs Baltimore Blowout

Dan Deacon, These Are Powers The 1896 Friday, January 30
Dan Deacon and These Are Powers headlined an eight-band lineup that pitted Baltimore bands against their brethren in Brooklyn. Hundreds jammed into an empty warehouse in an industrial sector of Bushwick (just blocks from where acres of city trash are stuffed into very similar-looking buildings). These Are Powers showcased material from their upcoming release All Aboard Future and tried that jumping backwards into the crowd thing and, as a finale to his final solo performance, Dan Deacon raised the house lights and forged his biggest middle-school style dance circle to date.
