"I tried to make an album as if N.W.A. met A Tribe Called Quest, so jazzy but still gangsta," says the producer Statik Selektah of his new #WhatGoesAround project. Featuring hometown rhymers like Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, Talib Kweli and Pharoahe Monch, the album drops on August 19th. Ahead of that, here's Statik explaining away his Twitter talk about Olympic diving challenges, the art of puking in Japanese sinks, and how he invented a drink called the M Train.

What was the Olympic diving challenge photo about? Action Bronson was attempting to do swan dives off into the water and he kept insisting he was only making a little splash, so I was like, "Okay, let's have a diving challenge." That was backstage in Norway -- we were just joking around.

What was your speciality dive? It was a cannon-ball. I went in from the Jordan pose to the cannon-ball.

Who was the better diver, you or Bronson? Probably Bronson -- I don't even like diving.

If the idea of a Rap Olympics took off, who do you think would win? [Pauses] Probably someone like Freddie Foxxx.

You recently invented a drink called the M Train. What does it taste like? Well the Patron takes away the shitty taste of the Sunny Delight, and the Sunny Delight takes away the potency of the Patron. It's a win-win situation.

If you had to endorse the M Train drink, what would you say? Drink up your M Train 'cause you can be on the train and nobody's gonna know you're drinking. [Pauses] We named it that because we were drinking on the M train, ha ha!

What would the Statik Selektah be as a drink? Man, probably like Don Julio 1942 on the rocks with a lemon and some salt. That's a perfect drink to listen to while rocking the new album for sure.

Did you ever find out who puked in the sink at that party? Nah, out in Japan they get so drunk it could have been four or five people who threw up in that sink.

When was the last time you puked yourself from drinking too much. Let's just say it's been a long time.

What's the wall of signatures in your apartment about? It's crazy man, a lot of history there. I got people to sign the wall in the basement when they came through when we were recording. I've been there for seven years -- I'm moving next Friday, although I haven't started yet.

What was the first signature on the wall? Ah, man, probably like Saigon or Lil Fame. There are hundreds on there now though. It's a group of really important moments in peoples' careers, like for Mac Miller's first time in New York he came through and signed the wall. Action Bronson wasn't even really trying to be a rapper but I got his signature in 2010; I got Joey Bada$$'s signature when he was like 16, and Bun B right after Pimp C died and he wrote some stuff. There's NORE, Pharoahe Monch, so many.

What's gonna happen to the wall when the new tenant moves in? They're just gonna paint over it. But I took pictures of all the autographs and I'm gonna Photoshop them together for a poster.
