Tonight! Holy Shit, Passive Aggressor, Mark Seliger's Rusty Truck, and Muddled Mondays
You've seen Fucked Up. You've seen Cerebral Ballzy. And now, to complete your collection of unfortunately named hardcore punk bands, you can finally see Holy Shit at Death by Audio. The group helpfully describes their guitar sound as "Yer parents fisting each other," a potent phrase that might also apply to the berzerker-chick growls of Passive Aggressor, also playing that night. Meanwhile, Mark Seliger, the famed Rolling Stone photographer (you might recognize his work from this photo. or maybe this one) is taking his slow-churning country group, Rusty Truck, to the Mercury Lounge. And to cap the day's meager music spread, Le Poisson Rouge is hosting Muddled Mondays, a night comprised of a delightfully self-explanatory "free liquor tasting" and "DJ dance party."
