Who Watches the Watchmen Who Watch the Watchmen Graffiti?
Frankly baffled that there's any mystery as to who's responsible for the purple squiggly "Who Watches the Watchmen?" that's been sprayed around Manhattan over the last week. The phrase is a recurring device in the comic juggernaut, a citizen outcry during a police labor strike, angry vandalism used as a kind of graphic-novel Greek chorus--which also makes it the most appallingly obvious, cost-efficient street-team promo for the most anticipated major-studio release since The Dark Knight. If the Warner Bros. marketing department bros didn't quietly make this happen right before the film's release, advertising laws would require they all lose their jobs. Nerds did not do this.
