11 AIG Bonus Babies Took the Money and Ran; Senate Seeks "Clawback"
Ha! 11 of the AIG execs who got that controversial bailout-bonus money apparently took the money and ran. These workers left the company after sharing in a honey pot of $165 million, from which 73 AIGers got more than a million dollars apiece. Senate Democrats, among them our own Chuck Schumer, are threatening to impose an excise tax, or "clawback," on these fellows of up to 91 percent -- which, interestingly, was the top tax rate during the Eisenhower Administration. Enraged citizens continue to call for the deaths of AIG officers, among others, but at this writing AIG seems to be suffering no ill effects from all this public hatred.
