Andre Pitts, 18, Shot Dead in Brownsville; Remarkable Video of Gunfire, Suspect
Teenager Andre Pitts was murdered Sunday evening in Brownsville, and his name would just evaporate like that of most other black kids whose murders are given short shrift by the press.
But the exact moment of the gunfire that killed Pitts was captured on a video the NYPD released last night -- along with a crystal-clear view of the man who the cops say is the murderer.
Here's the video:
Responding to a 911 of gunfire, cops found Pitts mortally wounded inside 230 Lott Avenue, Brooklyn, in the war zone that is Brownsville. Cops say the suspect is about 5-8 and in his 20s. The video above describes him better than words do.
