ATM Robber who Broke Victim's Arm Sought by Police
The NYPD would very much like to talk to the gentleman in the picture about an early-morning robbery in the lobby of the Sterling National Bank at 512 7th Avenue on Valentines Day.
According to police, the suspect came up behind a 41-year-old man preparing to use an ATM just before five in the morning and grabbed him from behind. When the victim refused to give up his PIN number, they say, the suspect broke his arm. They describe the man they're looking foras a 6-foot-tall hispanic male, approximately 30-40 years old and 180 pounds, with a mustache and goatee. The assailant was wearing a red Chicago Bulls Cap, a red collared shirt, a white turtleneck, and a white jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), log on to WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or text 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
