Biggest Mafia Bust in New York History Happening Today; Carlina White, Kidnapped as Baby in 1987, Reunited With Family

• Today marks the biggest mafia bust in New York history, according to the FBI, who have been conducting raids this morning to arrest more than 100 suspected mobsters on charges ranging from racketeering to gambling to murder. The arrests includes people from all five New York mafia families (that's the Gambinos, Genoveses, Luccheses, Bonannos, and Colombos), plus the New Jersey DeCavalcante family. • Yesterday the House, controlled by Republicans, voted to repeal the health care overhaul bill President Obama signed last March. Majority Leader Harry Reid called the move "partisan grandstanding," and Obama has said he will veto an effort to repeal the bill. [NPR]

• President Obama's state dinner for Chinese President Hu Jintao last night featured a "quintessentially American" menu with "fresh vegetables, poached Maine Lobster, and dry-aged rib-eye with buttermilk crisp onions, with apple pie and ice cream for dessert." • In 1987, Carlina White was kidnapped by a fake nurse at Harlem Hospital when she was 19 days old. Twenty-three years later, she's been reunited with her birth parents. [NYP]
