Central Park Flasher Says He Just Had to Pee
Pedro Reyes, a 71-year-old man busted on Wednesday night in Central Park near the 79th Street transverse and West Drive for beckoning to two little girls, aged 7 and 8, and exposing himself, says that he didn't flash the girls at all. His excuse: "He claims he is incontinent," says Gordon Ludwig, his court-appointed lawyer. And "he really had to go." There's an excuse for everything, isn't there? Reyes was charged with public lewdness, exposure, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released without bail after appearing in Manhattan Criminal Court, despite prosecutors asking for bail to be set at $5,000. [NYDN]
