Chelsea Hit by String of Burglaries; Surveillance Video Released by Police

There have been a string of burglaries reported in Chelsea in the last few weeks, with vacationing residents targeted in particular. Police have now released surveillance video of one suspect, who's wanted for a break-in that may be linked. On September 6, at 12:30 a.m., the suspect used a window to get into a 27-year-old man's apartment, from which he took credit cards and computer equipment. The video, after the jump, shows him using a stolen credit card.

If you have any information as to the suspect, please call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
