Chevy Chase, NY Republicans Dis Sarah Palin
Oh snap. The Post reports today that at a recent Time Warner Center "debate" between Karl Rove and James Carville, "the moderator asked the 200 Republicans in the room how many were comfortable with Palin becoming president if something were to happen to John McCain," and only one of them raised his hand. (Metropolitan Republican Club President Bob Morgan insists that "many, many GOPer's here like and admire Sarah Palin.")
To top it off, Chevy Chase tells Access Hollywood it was a "mistake" for Palin to go on SNL this weekend. "On 'Weekend Update,' that was her big chance,” he said. “Nothing." He also said "The management behind McCain’s campaign has been dumb." Republicans should take note: after all, this is the man whom top rightwing blog Power Line accused of seriously damaging the image of Gerald Ford. (Chase adds, "after Jerry Ford lost, I made about $80 million.")
