City Pays $10,001 to Man Ejected, Arrested For Going to Bathroom During "God Bless America" at Yankee Stadium
Bradford Campeau-Laurion, the fellow who was thrown out of Yankee Stadium and arrested for trying to take a bathroom break during the singing of "God Bless America" last year, has received $10,001 from the city. The New York Civil Liberties Union, which sued on Campeau-Laurion's behalf, will receive trial costs. The Yankees, with the arrogance typical of that organization, say it's not changing policy, that it has always allowed fans to move about freely during the post-9/11 religious ritual, and that it has no obligation to pay Campeau-Laurion any money. You'd think they'd throw him one of those zillion-dollar seats nobody wants. Image via Soxual Addiction.
