Columbia Waterfront To Get Carroll Gardens Zoning
Brownstoner tells us that the Columbia Waterfont District -- that nabe across the BQE from Carroll Gardens; landmarks, Korhogo 126 and the salt pile (hey, we used to live there, too -- this is turning into a theme day) -- will be "included in the Carroll Gardens re-zoning process" going forward, per the city's planning department. That means the longtime downscale semi-industrial zone will probably get the same building height and usage restrictions as its tonier neighbors. It's a welcome piece of good news for the CWD, last in the news for the dead hooker dumped there over the weekend. Now let's hope they get landmark status for Montero's. Photo (cc) jebb.
