Consumer Reports: Danielle Steel Owns Over 6,000 Pairs of Psycho-Expensive Shoes
Women's Wear Daily reports today that NY-born author Danielle Steel, purveyor of lurid bubble-bath scenes and star-cross'd cosmopolitan love affairs (not that we would know, okay?), owns "at least" 6,000 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes. WWD reports that the designer tells an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair:
"She comes to Paris, and she literally buys everything. Then she flies back to New York, says, 'I'm a little disappointed -- there's nothing in the store,' and walks out with 80 pairs," he grinned. "She is super."
At a conservative estimate of $700 per pair, that means our gold-foil gal has doled out over $4,200,000 on her dawgs.
In other news, the universe is expanding.
