Cops Release New Photo Of Real Manhattan Serial Groper
This is the real Manhattan serial groper.
Just a few days after charges were dropped against a man falsely accused of being a serial pervert, police have released a new photo of the man they say is responsible for copping several unwelcome feels in Manhattan over the last few months.
As you can see in the photo above, the new image is much more clear than the one that got 26-year-old Karl Vanderwoude pinched a few weeks ago, but the serial groper -- dubbed the "gentleman groper" -- appears to be just as dapper.
Vanderwoude was cleared of any wrongdoing earlier this week when the Manhattan District Attorney's Office dropped all charges against him. Despite the fact that two of three victims identified him in a lineup, Vanderwoude was able to prove that he was at a restaurant with a friend at the time of one of the gropings he was accused of. Other documentation and surveillance footage proved that he was at his office during another attack.
The real perv's first groping happened on February 26, when police say he grabbed the crotch of a 31-year-old woman near Varick and King streets.
On March 30, the groper struck again, when he put his hand between the legs of a 22-year-old woman as she was walking to a subway near Chambers Street.
If you recognize the man pictured above, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPPS.
