Dick Cheney Gives "High Marks" to Obama
Dick Cheney appeared on "Fox News Sunday" this morning and somewhat lavishly praised President Obama, and then the Fox News studio spontaneously burst into flames. "You've got to give him a lot of credit for making the decision to have SEAL Team 6 conduct the raid that got bin Laden," Cheney said.
"There's no question that was his responsibility, and I think he handled it well. I give him high marks for making that decision."
These are real words spoken by our former Vice President. Cheney even said, of the White House's decision not to publish the pictures of Bin Laden's dead body, "I really can't quarrel with it."
And then Donald Rumsfeld piled on during "Face the Nation" and said that Obama made "the right decision" in going into Pakistan and ordering the OBL raid. Then Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh called in from their golf game to add that the President's national security-related decisions "ruled" and that they would give him a "gold star" for his efforts. Tim Pawlenty, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann got together for brunch and made "We Love You Barack!" cards, sealing the envelopes with a kiss.
Actually, Rumsfeld and Cheney went on to bash Obama about his stance on enhanced interrogation techniques, and the world kept spinning.
