Epic Crime Fail: Asking a Cop If There's a Warrant for Your Arrest
We thought the dumbest crime story of the day was the Scream-mask-wearing wannabe Dunkin' Donuts thief who got scared away by a water hose-wielding dishwasher. But no. That award actually goes to a woman in Ohio who stopped a cop at 2:30 a.m. to ask if there was a curfew for adults in the area. When told no (clearly, she wanted a yes), she queried further: "Is there a warrant for my arrest?"
This is like the crime equivalent of a na-na-na-na-boo-boo. And just as dumb.
Anyway, you can probably guess the answer, because you're actually reading this blog, and therefore have at least a semblance of intelligence. Getting the "yes" that she wanted all along, the woman took off running, leading the officer in a brief and invigorating chase before shoving him into a building, causing him to hurt his elbow.
Now she has a new charge to add to failing to pay a fine related to a drug conviction -- resisting arrest. We assume she's satisfied...for now.
Some people just can't get enough attention. Criminals, seriously. This is embarrassing.
