Fight Over A Fart Leads To Gun Charges For New Jersey Man
Whatever you do, don't fart near 72-year-old Daniel Collins.
The fart of a New Jersey man wasn't silent, but it was nearly deadly.
According to authorities in the Garden State, a Teaneck man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly pulled a gun on his neighbor. The victim's offense: farting in a hallway.
Daniel Collins, 72, was in his apartment at 694 Cedar Lane about 9:25 p.m. Monday when he heard his neighbor fart in the hallway outside his door. Pissed off about the fart, Collins confronted the man and the two started arguing. The argument came to an end when Collins allegedly pulled a gun on his flatulent foe.
Collins admitted to police that he and the victim have an ongoing feud. The fart, apparently, was the last straw.
Collins admits to confronting the man about the fart, but denies he pulled a gun.
Collins' version of events was discredited when police found a .32 caliber revolver in his car.
Collins was booked on one count each of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a firearm and making terroristic threats.
Moral of the story: don't fart around Daniel Collins.
