Fighting Corporate Greed and Finding Love: An Occupy Wall Street Wedding
If the Occupy Wall Street protests don't eventually force stricter banking regulations or greater wealth equality, the movement can at least take responsibility for one love connection. Emery Abdel-Latif, 24, and Micha Balon, 19, met at Zuccotti Park in September and tied the knot today in a ceremony officiated by an NYU chaplain. Thanks to MSNBC's Meg Robertson, you can listen to part of the wedding here. Congratulations, Emery and Micha, you now have a pretty cool story to tell when people ask where you first met.
In honor of your special day, here's something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue:
Something old: Graham Nash and David Crosby.
Something new: Bathrooms.
Something borrowed: Zuccotti Park.
Something blue: The constant police presence.
