Flights Leaves LaGuardia, Drops Chunks, Lands at Kennedy
American Airlines Flight 309 had some trouble after it departed LaGuardia for Chicago at 8:15 this morning and, after dropping chunks of its engine over College Point, landed at Kennedy Airport. All passengers and crew are safe. Engine failure is suspected, an FAA investigation is pending. Update: Some suspected Flight 309 chunks have been spotted in Queens.
