Fossella Cheered By 200 in Staten Island
He may have driven drunk, raised a child with a woman not his wife, and declined to run again for his Congressional seat, but Vito Fossella remains popular in Staten Island, reports the Staten Island Advance. The six-term Republican turned up at a fundraiser for State Senator Andrew J. Lanza, where he was treated to a "a rock star like reception" by the 200 people in attendance, with Lanza telling the Advance, "Everywhere I go people have approached me to say, 'We want Vito to run...'"
