Gangs Shout Anti-Mexican Slurs, Beat, Stab Men in 3 Bronx Attacks
Four Hispanic men got beaten up, and one was stabbed, in what appear to have been bias attacks in the West Bronx last Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The attackers were also Hispanic and shouted anti-Mexican slurs at them; it's unknown what the victims' heritage is. At 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, two young men were chased to 182nd Street and the Grand Concourse and there assaulted by four attackers. On Sunday around 4 a.m. five of them set upon a middle-aged man and beat and stabbed him just a few blocks from the site of Saturday's assault. The following morning around 4:50 a.m., another middle-aged man got the same treatment minus the stabbing on East 181st Street.
If you have information as to these men or these incidents, NYPD asks you to contact 1-800-577-TIPS(8477), www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, or text 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577.
