Gunman Kills Clerk in Upper East Side Jewelry Store Robbery; Queens Woman Stabbed to Death Over Mahjong -- See It on Your iPad!
Imagining how Steve Jobs, the iPad and the NY Post would team up to display a typical New York murder -- in this case, a fatal stabbing Tuesday in Flushing over a mahjong game.
This just in: A well-dressed gunman held up an Upper East Side jewelry store this afternoon, shot to death an elderly store worker, and got away with undisclosed loot, the Daily News reports.
Bet you can't wait to see this on your new iPad. Just think of the visuals. Take last night's fatal stabbing of a 46-year-old woman in Flushing, apparently after an argument over a game of mahjong. A neighbor heard the argument and then there was silence. The victim was found in the hallway with a fatal stomach wound. The suspect, a 47-year-old man — you can probably call him the city's sorest loser in the past 24 hours — fled the scene, the Post reports.
In a completely unrelated incident Monday in Bensonhurst, a robber threatened a bodega clerk with a beer bottle and made off with two coffee jars. Wouldn't you be more likely to hit someone with coffee jars if they didn't give you a beer?
