Have You Seen... Robbers in Downtown Manhattan, Queens
There are some pattern robbers out there. The one pictured twice on the left uses mace to coerce victims into giving up their property. He has struck in recent weeks on East 17th Street, West 17th Street, and at the corner of Commerce and Seventh Avenue South, and is described as Hispanic, 25-35 years old, between 6'0" and 6'2", and of large build. Also, a pair of men have used a gun to shake down victims in Queens: At 107 Avenue and 114 Street on July 27, 128th Street on July 29, and at Liberty Avenue and 116th Street. In each case they escaped in a dark van. The suspects are black men in their 20s; one is described as 6 feet tall and 200 pounds (sketch at right), the other as 5'8" and 150 pounds. If you have information as to these men or these incidents, NYPD asks you to contact 1-800-577-TIPS(8477), www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, or text 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577.
